We have been working pretty hard to get the downstairs unit ready. By we, I mean mostly Mitch. What makes all this difficult is having a another living thing to take care of. Our four legged baby takes up quite a bit of our time when we are home and when I am somewhere else, I am thinking of hurrying back home to give her some human love. We have not yet taken her to any obedience training, but she knows sit, stay, come and NO! I think she hears the word no more often than anything else.
I digress. This post is about the Heidplex. Mitch mentioned just the other day how it seems crazy that we went from being homeless (ok, we had a camper and then my sister in law's place to call home) to an apartment to now owning a duplex and being landlords. It's hard to believe that it was just two years ago. So much has changed. I have to admit, I didn't really think Mitch was ever going to be the person to fix stuff and get excited about nail guns. He put in quarter round, painted, fixed doors, the floor, the bath tub and put in a new toilet. He did have some help from Dad Heid and YouTube, but I am amazed at how much he has done for the place!
Now, we need to actually get a renter in. Hopefully, we will get someone nice and rent for a while. I will post photos soon!
