Well, after the previous posts we know that Di went to Sri Lanka, had a good time but felt to short, then arrived home largely without incident. While all that's well and good there is another side of the story. My side. Don't forget now that while Di was away I had to revisit the bachelor lifestyle. I was looking forward to it but it's not really all I hoped it would be...
The first day was probably the easiest because it just felt like another day. I got up, got ready, got the dog fed, left. I came home and took care of the dog, washed up some dishes, ate and then went to bed.
Actually, come to think of it, all of my days were filled with the same thing. Chores, dog, food, sleep, work. I will say that it was nice to be able to leave for work a bit later and sleep in a bit longer but other than it was just one guy trying to do the work of two.
Most nights I would talk to Di via skype and that had Annie all sorts of confused. She would check behind the computer, nope Di is not there. Then she would come and and smell me as if to make sure that I was me and not Di. Then she would start whining. I told Di it was because she missed her.
That's about it. Short post but my days weren't really filled with any sort of excitement. I felt obligated to not do anything fun and to spend as little money as possible whilst the wife was out and about.
It will, however, provide some fodder for future posts because Di used most of her vacation while she was gone and the rest of her vacation will be used when we go to DC. This is a trip I will hopefully win soon. But I get additional vacation for the trip so I have 3 weeks of vacation in 2015 without my wife. How will I use them...
