We decided we’d leave early since check in time at the hotel was around 3 or 4 p.m. Good thing we left early. Darn construction was everywhere! By the time we finally got to Hinckley, I just wanted to lie down on the bed. But no, that’s not what we came for. We decided to take a gander around town and find some place to eat. There were a bunch of the normal fast food eateries like McDonalds, but we wanted to see what else Hinckley had to offer. Creepy. Downtown Hinckley looked like a scene from a bad horror movie. So, McDonalds was our restaurant of choice. We ate some delicious chicken bites while being forced to listen to this girl complain about rules at work. Odd…a McDonalds employee complaining to her friend about ‘stupid’ work rules sitting right there.
Once we got back to our hotel, we decided that it was time for some drinks. The alcoholic kind of course. Liquid courage was necessary to actually throw away even a little of our hard saved money. At least, I felt like I needed it. What did I want to play right away? Hot Shots! It’s really the only slot machine I understand.
Just like multiple times before Mitch and I even officially started dating, Mitch took care of me when I was too tired to stand straight. Ok fine. Just a bit intoxicated is what I mean. Mitch put me to bed. My eyes just couldn’t stay open and I went to sleep right away. Happy.
