My job as a financial advisor is great. With every passing day though, I am reminded that my heart is still in working with students at a university. It doesn't have to be event planning, but I love working with students. I need to feel that connection to my job where I feel like I make a difference, where I believe that I NEED to be there. A job where I am not 1 of a 100 doing the same thing. So far, nothing I have had make me feel that. I don't want my job to be just a job. Where's the fun in that?
Mitch and I have both been looking at jobs at the University of St. Thomas. For quite a while actually. I am not sure why Mitch likes the university so much, but I like it because of its programs...and yes, also because it is Catholic and looks cool. I am not one for preaching at everyone, but I do like church. It gives me a sense of home since I do come from a traditional Catholic background. My dream is to work with Mitch, hopefully at the University of St. Thomas. I just want to work with my friend, just like old times. We got stuff done and the fact that we are so different in how we tackle a problem probably helped the whole team as well. |
AuthorsI live my life in a series of perpetual moments. That is what life is, an assortment of moments. I try to look for them, live in them, and then look for the next one. Sometimes I speak too soon and ruin moments. But then again, I suppose that just makes it a different kind of moment. Archives
