Something that really annoys me here in California, and now I am generalizing, is the driving. It's not even the traffic. It's merely the fact that many Californian drivers NEVER seem to use their turn lights. I have no clue whether they are changing lanes, turning or just being a jerk. So Far, I've let Mitch drive around honestly because I am not sure I can be as aggressive. If I do stay here though, I am told that I have to pass a road test to get a California driver's license. I have to drive with these fools who don't even know what signal lights are to get a license? I am not even exaggerating how bad the drivers are. Mitch apparently doesn't need to retest because he's a citizen.
Meh. Whatever. We went to the State Capitol today. We went in through the north entrance and turned back the second we saw that we had to go through security like at the airport. Weird. It just seemed like too much of a hassle to go through. We walked downtown Sacramento and saw a lot of cool shops and boutiques. When we got back to our car, and tried to actually get back on the road, none of the Californians would let us in. I never though about 'Minnesota Nice' as much as I did while waiting for someone to let us in.
Below is a cool bridge we saw while driving back from downtown Sacramento-the Tower Bridge. I am not sure why I didn't become an architect. I really do love structures like these and drawing drafts of buildings. But then, I like a lot of things.
