I am training right now and while I know that it is important to get that training, I am itching to just get started already. Just let me do what I was hired to do. I am realizing though why this job requires a few years of experience in the mortgage industry. I am spending a good amount of time learning the system. I couldn't imagine having to learn new systems AND mortgage lingo. While some of the systems are kind of self explanatory, some just look so foreign, I am scared to type anything. What if I mess up something, like type in the wrong code? I think what worries me the most about mistakes like that is the fact that I can't just call one of few in IT to help me fix the error. I am a little nervous about going from a 500 employee company to a HUGE company.
I am keeping this short because there really isn't much to say other than the fact that I think I am going to really like being on the other side of real estate, processing vs originating loans. Cheers!
